The Maintenance Technician Polymer will install, set-up, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, clean and repair polymer injection molding equipment (including molds) used for producing medical devices per technical instructions, health & safety, and quality regulations. The Maintenance Technician Polymer will be responsible for working within the framework of a team as well as working alone and will support the maintenance and production teams as required. The Maintenance Technician Polymer will report to the Team Leader Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing new and existing auxilary equipment
- Maintaining equipment in excellent condition ensuring consistent quality, output and yield
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance according to guidelines, completing all associated documentation
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, procedures and/or systems
- Assist Production with set-up molds and dies per specific requirements following set up instructions, including auxiliary equipment and end of arm tool set up if required
- Assist Production with start-up and shut down injection molding machines if required
- Ordering and maintaining appropriate stock of equipment spare parts and tools
What you bring
- Post-secondary professional education MBO 3 Mechanical
- Injection molding course level 1
- VCA Basic
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Injection Molding as a Production Technician or likewise position
- In dept knowledge of thermal polymer processes
- Working with specialized tools and equipment on high level of accuracy
- Use lifting equipment like overhead cranes and manual pallet trucks
- Proficient level of Dutch and preferably English, both spoken and written
- Willing to work in a two-shift schedule (06:00-15:00h / 15:00-23:55h), make use of own transport
